Each compartment in Rieber’s 10-compartment Multipolar communal refrigeration now has an optional app controller to pop open the door, operated by smart phone.
This avoids the use of manual keys which are easily lost or misplaced. Security is also improved because only the app holder, other than the relevant site manager, can now open a fridge door within the 10-compartment Multipolar.
Uses for Multipolar include storing individual meals for collection/reheating out of hours and holding medication/special meals/drinks for nursery children.
In a care home, creche or nursery for example, users would need to check in with site management to obtain their app.
With the app now in operation, the relevant fridge door on the Multipolar will pop open on command, or as the app-holder enters the room.
